Our Commitment to Student Activities
Our goal at EDSS is to offer a well-balanced program that gives all students a chance to grow to their potential. To accomplish this, we feel that the work done in the classroom should be balanced with opportunities to participate in activities that cater to the particular interests of our students. We believe, that for a school to be truly educational, we must complement class work with a high-quality, diverse activity program. The well-balanced student participates academically, artistically, socially and on the playing fields of Elmira District Secondary School.
Our staff and administration know that students who are involved in activities here at school will achieve better academic results and are less inclined to drop out of school. The key to involvement is to find a program that interests you and get involved early. Don’t wait until your graduating year to participate. Be an active part of the school and your career here at EDSS will be a fulfilling and enjoyable one.
