Attention all Grade 9 Students

Welcome to Elmira District Secondary School! We’re looking forward to an amazing school year with you.

Chromebook Distribution

EDSS will distribute Grade 9 Chromebooks this Monday and Tuesday, August 29 & 30, 2022. Distribution will take place at The Front U (off of Arthur St.) Due to the volume of students, there may be some wait time.

In order to receive your Chromebook, you must please read, print, and fill in EDS Chromebook Initiative – Contract to bring along with you on distribution day to collect your Chromebook. Paper copies of the contract will also be available at pickup. Please bring a form of identification with your student’s first and last name (ex. Health card, Birth certificate, report card with WRDSB student number or OEN, mail with name on it).

If students aren’t able to pick up their Chromebook this Monday or Tuesday they will be able to do so on the first day of school. Students will still need to bring a signed Chromebook Contract with them on the first day of school.

Please note that students will not be allowed to enter the building on Monday August 29 and Tuesday August 30. These days are for Chromebook pick up only at the designated location.

Please see the schedule below for suggested pick-up times. If the proposed time does not fit your schedule please feel free to come at an alternate time during the day.

Locker Distribution

Students who wish to register for a locker on the first day of school must bring a combination lock with them. Keyed locks are not permitted. There will be a very limited number of combination locks available for purchase for $5 in the main office.
