Instructional Support and Evaluation Days will be offered as scheduled on our Ministry-Approved School Calendar for 2022-2023. Two Instructional Support and Evaluation Days occur at approximately the midpoint each semester.

• Semester 1: Wednesday, November 9 & Thursday, November 10, 2022 
• Semester 2: Wednesday, April 19 & Thursday, April 20, 2023

These days are an opportunity for teachers to focus on a variety of assessment and evaluation products, conversations, and observations that will aid students in consolidating learning and working towards a provincial standard demonstration of the overall expectations prior to a reporting period. On these days, teachers will have the plan to support each student to improve their achievement. These days tremendously benefit our student’s well-being and provide an opportunity for remediation and a deeper understanding of the topics covered in class. 

Classroom teachers will not require all students to attend Instructional Support Days. Communication with parents/guardians via email, phone call and/or a classroom’s online environment, such as Google Classroom, will identify expectations for students that need to attend class these days. ACE students will attend school with regular programming and following standard attendance procedures. Transportation will run at normal times.
