Hello EDSS Lancers Parents/Guardians,

We hope you’re enjoying the end of summer! Here’s some important information about timetables and course changes for the 2024-2025 school year:

Timetables:

  • Timetables will be emailed to students’ WRDSB school email address before school starts.
  • On the first day, lists will be posted around the school to help students get to their first period class. Students will receive a paper copy of their timetable in their first period class.
  • Wednesday September 4th will be modified day – schedule will be emailed to parents and posted on the school website

Building Visits:

  • If students haven’t visited the school, please check the videos and information on our guidance page to familiarize themselves with the building.

Course Change Requests for September 2024 will begin on Sept 4th:

  • To change or drop a course, students must:
    1. Pick up a course change form outside the guidance office on the first day of school.
    2. Obtain a signature from home.
    3. Return the signed form to the drop box in the guidance office.
    4. Course change requests forms are also available HERE in the event that you want to have it filled out and ready for the first day of school.
  • Emails or phone calls that were sent over the summer are not accepted for course changes. 
  • Course changes will begin on the first day of school – Wednesday September 4th.

Priority for Course Changes:

  • High Priority: Compulsory courses, graduation requirements, and post-secondary plans.
  • Low Priority: Elective changes.
  • Students should attend their scheduled classes until their request is processed.

Guidance Appointment Schedule:

  • Sept 4: Major timetable issues (all grades) – Stop into the guidance office immediately if there’s a major issue and we will assess if it needs to be dealt with right away  *missing courses, missing requirement for graduation or pathway plans
  • Sept 5: Grade 12 students.
  • Sept 6: Grades 11 and 12.
  • Sept 9: All grades, in priority order.
  • Sept 10: Last day for changes – all grades; signed forms due by 9 a.m.
