We are starting a new tradition at EDSS! Every October we participate in Battle of the Barns, a full day of athletic competition where we compete against Waterloo Oxford(WO) in a variety of sports.  Battle of the Barns is a long standing tradition that celebrates and highlights the fall sports team. This year, for the first time ever, we are excited to host the Winter Barn Battle!

On Thursday, December 5th, EDSS will be hosting WO for our first ever Winter Barn Battle, which will be a full day celebrating our winter sports teams. Attached to this post you will see the flyer for the game times if you wish to watch our athletes as well as the modified schedule for the day.

Students can buy-in to attend both hockey games in the afternoon for $3. If a student buys-in, their attendance will be validated for both period D and period C. On the event day, wristbands will be placed in homeroom teachers mailboxes to hand out to the students who have bought-in. Students won’t be able to enter Dan Snyder Arena without a wristband. By purchasing the $3 buy-in on School Day, you are granting your student permission to attend the hockey games. Buy-in payment is only available on School Day, there will be no in-person sales.

At the arena, we will have intermission programming and food trucks. Proceeds raised from our intermission games and the buy-in will be donated to Woolwich Community Services.
