Dear Graduating Students & Parents/Guardians of Graduating Students,
It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the school year and that it was just a few short years ago that every WRDSB student entering grade 9 received a Chromebook for school use.
Time to return Chromebooks
Chromebooks and charging cords are the property of the Waterloo Region District School Board and must be returned upon graduation, or when a student transfers from our Board. Students leaving the WRDSB are expected to return their Chromebook and charger to the Cafeteria on June 21st. Students will be called down by their last names as to the following schedule:
8:20 a.m. ~ 9:05 a.m. – A & B
9:05 a.m. ~ 9:50 a.m. – C, D, E, F, G
9:50 a.m. ~ 10:35 a.m. – H, I, J, K
10:35 a.m. ~ 11:20 p.m. – M, T, U, V
11:30 p.m. ~ 12:15 p.m. – L, N, O, P, Q, R
12:15 p.m. ~ 1:00 p.m. – S, W, X, Y, Z
1:00 p.m. ~ 2:00 p.m. – Students that missed their time
Chromebooks are to be returned regardless of their condition. Students that require their Chromebook to submit work and assignments after the 21st must inform Mr.Oldford of this on collection day, and be prepared to return their device on an alternative date that has yet to be determined. Chromebooks that are not returned after the 2nd drop-off date will be locked by WRDSB Information Technology Services.
Google Accounts:
Students graduating this semester or who are leaving the WRDSB will have their Google Drive and email accounts closed a few weeks after the school year ends. These students are STRONGLY recommended to back up all documents and emails to their personal drive/accounts before the end of the year. Apps such as Google Takeout can make this process easier. Students should consider following this tutorial to assist with the process.
