Next month, Principal Paul Morgan from Elmira District Secondary School will be retiring. Principal Morgan is a regular blood donor and was coming up to his 100th donation. In lieu of retirement gifts, he asked students and staff to support his 100th donation by coming out to give blood at the Elmira Lions Club blood drive.

On November 30, over 40 students and staff came together to support Principal Morgan and make their own donations. Principal Morgan believes that donating blood is a way to give back to our community. He states that this blood drive is an opportunity to “get others, especially students, staff and colleagues, who have not given in a long time, or have never given, the chance to experience [giving blood] in a positive space together.”

Thank you Principal Morgan for inspiring all of us to give back. Best wishes on a very happy retirement.
