Congratulations to Seth Morrison from EDSS for winning the Tim Walker Award this year, alongside Austin Silva from HHSS.This award is presented to the WCSSAA senior boys’ soccer player who is an exemplary citizen of his school as well as one who displays outstanding skill, dedication, and sportsmanship during his high school soccer career.
The award was created in memory of Tim Walker:
Tim Walker was a man of enthusiasm and devotion. The Tim Walker Award honours a former Southwood teacher and coach, who passed away while on a field trip with his students in 2006. His passion for soccer and his drive to succeed inspired everyone around him. Tim’s strength, discipline, and motivation made him an excellent athlete, scholar, coach, and mentor.
The WCSSAA Senior Boys Soccer Coaches selected these two winners as they both demonstrated ongoing leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment throughout their high school soccer careers.
