Course Selection Information

 

It is that time of year again when students need to think about next year’s courses!  Although things are different this year we have embraced the opportunity to create some multimedia resources for students and families to use to help guide them through pathway planning and choosing appropriate courses.

 

Please take the time to look at the guidance website and specifically under the heading Course Selection.  You will find the course guide, instructions, timeline and course promotion materials for each EDSS subject department.  Classroom teachers will be showing a course promotion video this coming Friday and next Tuesday so that all students will be encouraged to access the resources needed to make good and informed decisions.

 

Students will need to log into MyWay starting February 8th to enter course selection. Instructions on how to access MyWay are on the guidance website.  Students have until March 10th to complete their course selection.

 

We strongly encourage students to access all the resources on the website before making an appointment with their guidance counsellor.  Many questions will be answered by using the resources on the website.  If after looking through the resources students or parents have more questions, students are more than welcome to book online appointments which are accessed through the guidance website.

 

*New this year – Course verification forms must be completed through School Day.  No paper copies will need to be returned to guidance. The School day email has already been sent out – please look for this email when you need to verify your students course selection.
