Hello parents/guardians of EDSS Lancers!

We hope that you are all enjoying the last week before school! The guidance department is back in the building working diligently at getting timetables ready for the start of school. There are a few things we wanted to communicate to help alleviate some confusion and concerns.

Timetables have NOT been released. Students and parents should be checking emails and phone messages to see if a guidance counsellor has attempted contact about a conflict. Timetables for all students will be distributed on their first day of school.

Mr. Buckley will be returning semester 2 so his caseload has been shared between Ms. Stover and Ms. Enns-Hildebrand. Please refer to the guidance website for the student surnames each counsellor will support this semester.

The guidance department is working diligently at solving all timetable conflicts. Counsellors will be reaching out to students and parents via email and phone calls in priority sequence to discuss the conflicts and work towards solutions. Grade 12 timetables are a priority as well as looking at summer school results and making appropriate changes. We will work through all other grades after the grade 12 timetables are completed.

Please refer to the EDSS guidance website for questions about courses, programming, school maps, links to all other academic departments at EDSS and much more!

We understand that many students are anxious to check out the building before the first day of school. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any school tours at this time. Please refer to the maps and videos we have on our guidance website.

If a student has a pathway change that requires courses to be changed:

Please complete the following google form. Counsellors will be using this form to work through changes. Emails and phone calls will NOT be accepted for course changes. The form timestamps and helps us navigate the number of change requests in a timely and equitable fashion. Course changes will not be reviewed until all timetable conflicts are resolved.
