Good Day Lancer Community,

As a result of the cold weather and significant snow events there are increasing challenges involved in getting to and from school. It is paritcularly busy in our lots during drop-off and pickup times (approx 7:45-8:30 am and 2:00pm-2:45 pm) so we are asking for your help. Our hope is that students be dropped off near the school and walk short distances to an entrance.

Here are some reminders and an appeal for our students, their drivers and caregivers to help us keep our community safe.

All drivers are reminded to please take extra care and maintain low speed while on or near school property.  Drivers we ask that you …

  • Please DO drop off and pick up at the “U” off of Arthur St (4 University Ave) or on other side streets as allowed by Woolich Township signage. There is not a lot of room to wait at the U so pickup is best arranged off property unless drivers and students time it really well. Taxis are usually assigned here.
  • Please DO NOT drop off or pick up students right in front of the main main parking lot entrance off of Brubacher St.  This is the very busy main entrance for our bussed students, student parking, walking students, staff and visitors. While we reconginze this is very convenient it is not a very safe location for such high traffic demands.
  • Please DO NOT stop, drop-off or pick-up students in the no stopping or no parking zones on both sides of 2nd street adjacent to the school property. The significant number of vehicles are creating disruption in our bussing drop off zone. In particular this use of this zone is a concern for our students with physical mobility needs that use this area for drop off and pickup.   During the hours of  8 am and 4:30 pm Monday to Friday (as indicated by the Woolich Township By-Law signage) By-Law officers may be present to enforce the no stopping/parking notices along this roadway.

  • Students who drive to school may park at the Church parking lot off First Street in the spaces nearest the school, The Arena, the school’s student lot. Students must register their car vehicle with the main office if they chose to park in these spaces.
