Hello Lancers, 

We are writing to share details of some upcoming administration changes at Elmira District Secondary School. Effective January 29th, Sandy Millar will be transferred to  Eastwood Collegiate Institute to be their new Principal and Susan Brown will be transferred to Forest Heights Collegiate Institute to join the administrative team there as a Vice Principal.

We are happy to announce that Tim Swartz will be stepping into the role of Principal at EDSS and Alex Seiling will be joining EDSS as Vice-Principal. Tim is an experienced principal who is coming to Waterloo from Timmins High + Vocational School in the District School Board Ontario Northeast and Alex is an amazing teacher and instructional leader at Laurel Heights Secondary School who is excited to step into the role of Vice-Principal. 

It has been a genuine privilege to serve the Elmira DSS community of young people and their caregivers. We extend our sincere appreciation to our students, staff, families, and community partners for their ongoing collaboration and shared commitment to student learning, well-being, and belonging.
